Surf Bagel donates to Epworth UMC Skate Project

October 2, 2013

Epworth UMC Skate Project recently received a $1,000 donation from the owners of Surf Bagel and Deli. "We are so stoked to be able to help fund the new skate park at Epworth," said Tom Vitella, co-owner of Surf Bagel. “The local kids have needed a place to skate in our area for a really long time now, and we couldn't be happier to help make it all happen.”

The skate project is aiming to raise $50,000 by Tuesday, Oct. 15, to build a concrete skate park on the grounds of Epworth United Methodist Church on Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth Beach. “There are so few public recreational facilities for our kids; this will be a welcome addition,” said Surf Bagel founder Dave Vitella.

For information on how to donate, contact Tricia Ratner at 302-745-4131.
