The Upper Crust exhibits artist Lisa Edmonds through Jan. 4

December 9, 2013

The Upper Crust at 7 E. Market St. in Georgetown will exhibit works of Lisa S. Edmonds, a Delaware coastline canvas and 3D shadow box artist, through Saturday, Jan. 4. A Meet & Greet will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12. Light refreshments will be served.

Her work has evolved to offer a number of unique paintings of local scenes, landmarks, and aquatic life. Edmonds grew up on the coast of Lake Michigan, where the beaches and dunes of the lake captivated her. Her interest in painting first peaked in high school where she took art classes. In her early 20s, she moved to Delaware.  Lisa now lives in Rehoboth with her husband, three dogs and two cats. She has also three grown children.

When Edmonds moved to Delaware, she began painting murals in her home. She soon evolved into painting on canvas, and then 3D shadow boxes that offer an affordable alternative to canvas.

Her shadow boxes are available at local craft shows and festivals and are featured at www.capetreasure.com. Canvases can be viewed at www.lisaedmonds.com.
