Helen Kruger of Georgetown named Delaware Mother of the Year
The Delaware Association of American Mothers Inc. has announced that Helen Jean Kruger, a well-known Georgetown native, will be installed by Gov. Jack Markell as Delaware's Mother of the Year for 2014.
Kruger received support for the award from many organizations, her church, family and friends. Her dedication as an active member in many community organizations has made her a well-known and recognized citizen. She has also had a perfect attendance record of 63 years as a member and Sunday School leader of Wesley United Methodist Church, which is extraordinary.
Kruger lives in Georgetown with her husband, Paul Kruger Sr. The couple have three children and four grandchildren.
The formal installation ceremony will take place at Woodburn, the governor's official residence in Dover, during April.
