Whitney Renee Finney, Food Lion cashier
Whitney Renee Finney, 23, of Rehoboth Beach, departed this life Monday, May 26, 2014, at Christiana Hospital in Newark. Born in Lewes, she was the daughter of Terrance F. Collins Sr. and Tabitha Benson, both of Rehoboth.
She was employed by Food Lion in Rehoboth as a cashier. Whitney attended Holy Ghost & Fire Pentecostal Church in Coolspring.
In addition to her parents, she will be lovingly remembered by three sisters, Shakkia Collins of Berlin, Md., Danielle Cottingham of Millsboro and Teshaela Green of Salisbury, Md.; six brothers, Maurice Finney, Joey Finney, Desmond Sheppard, all of Rehoboth, Terrance Collins Jr., Kiante Collins, both of Camden, N.J., and Jordan Foreman of Baltimore, Md.; her maternal grandmother, Letitia Sturgis of Rehoboth; her paternal grandparents, Lillian Bowden and Charles Collins, both of Salisbury; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Whitney will lie in repose Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m to noon, at St. John 2nd Baptist Church located on 26602 Mt. Joy Road in Millsboro. The funeral service will begin at noon. Interment will follow at Peoples Memorial Park located on Route 1 in Lewes. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury.
