June 19, 2014

The Delaware SPCA operates two low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter clinics at our shelters in Newark and Georgetown to serve pet owners, feral/stray cat caretakers, and rescue groups.

The Delaware SPCA believes that all animals should receive the highest quality veterinary care possible. Our clinics use state of the art instruments and equipment, and licensed veterinarians who are spay/neuter specialists. Patients each receive a brief physical examination and high quality anesthesia and pain medication. Our vision is a community without homeless pets, and one in which every resident has access to affordable spay/neuter services.

Modeled after, and mentored by, the Humane Alliance Spay Neuter Clinic in Asheville, NC, Delaware SPCA’s clinics are the only high-volume, high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter clinics in Delaware, and among only 115 nationwide that are part of the Humane Alliance National Response Team.

In 2012, the Delaware SPCA neutered 8,800 animals, more than any other provider in Delaware. The quality of our service is just as impressive as our volume of patients. Our vets are experts in the field, with thousands of spay/neuter procedures under their belts. Rest assured, your beloved pet is in safe, caring, and professional hands.
