Pauline Petroski, devout Catholic

Pauline Petroski, 62, of Lewes, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 12, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Thomas Leo and Mary Margaret (Donahue) Petroski.

Prior to relocating to the Lewes area, Mrs. Petroski was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in New Castle. Presently a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes, she was a devout Catholic, praying the Rosary every day at 3 p.m., no matter where she might be. Mrs. Petroski was a faithful contributor to the Eternal Word Television Network and watched their broadcasts daily. She enjoyed her membership with the Minquadale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, but above all was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Petroski's unwavering love for family and friends will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Petroski is survived by her two daughters: Nancy Anne Torres-Tellado of New Castle and Lisa Torres of Lewes; two grandsons: Miguel Rodriguez and Elijah Tellado both of New Castle; one granddaughter, Brianna Rodriguez also of New Castle; four sisters: Margaret Cervantes and her husband Wayne of Lewes, Clara McNichol of Lewes, Kathleen Westlake of Killeen, Texas and Josephine Keffala of Philadelphia; three brothers: Thomas Petroski and his wife June of Philadelphia, Leo Petroski and his wife Eileen of Lewes, and David Patroski and wife Veronica of Philadelphia; and many many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be Friday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Blvd., New Castle.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to assist in defraying funeral expenses.
