Van Pelt named Shore Bank manager at Rehoboth branch

W. Thomas Mears, Shore Bank president and chief executive officer, announced that Dave Van Pelt has been appointed as a Private Banker and Commercial Relationship Manager for Shore Bank. Van Pelt brings 28 years of retail banking in the Delmarva region. He will be based in Rehoboth Beach Loan Production office.

Mears said, “With the opening of our Rehoboth Beach Loan Production Office in 2013 and Dave’s appointment as a private banker and commercial relationship manager, we underscore our commitment to Delmarva region and to local decision-making. We continue to add talented, experienced lenders to our team like Dave. Dave is a Delaware native with over 28 years’ experience who understands the banking needs of local families and businesses.”

Prior to joining Shore Bank, Van Pelt was a branch manager for PNC Bank in Selbyville. Previously, he served as branch manager for Citizens Bank in Lewes, and also worked for Mellon Bank and Wilmington Trust Company.

Van Pelt earned his bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Delaware. He holds a NMLS certification.

Throughout his career Van Pelt has been active in civic and community organizations, including the Bethany Beach-Fenwick Island Chamber of Commerce, Lewes Chamber of Commerce, Meals on Wheels and Milton Little League.
