Kenneth Peters Sr., retired attorney

Kenneth Stephen Peters Sr., 70, of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at home. He was born July 23, 1944, in Oak Hill, Ill., son of the late Thomas Milo and Cornelia “Connie” Peters.

Kenneth was raised in Cheverly, Md., where he would graduate from Bladensburg High School and University of Maryland. Throughout Kenneth’s career he was able to successfully practice law, retiring as a patent attorney. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner and an avid golfer. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Peters; three children: Kenneth S. Peters Jr. and John Britton Peters, and Connie Peters Duffin; two grandchildren: Jessica Peters and Zachery Peters; a brother, Thomas Peters; a sister, June Peters Widmayer; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m., at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Md., where friends may visit beginning at noon. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
