Miss Milford Brooke Mitchell, from Selbyville, was selected as 2015 Miss Delaware at the pageant held at Dover Downs June 13.
Mitchell, whose platform is volunteerism, is now qualified to compete in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, with the finals slated Sunday, Sept. 13.
This was the 74th year of the Miss Delaware Scholarship Competition. The focus of the Miss Delaware scholarship organization is to make scholarships available to the state's most promising young women, providing them with educational choices and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
