Elizabeth 'Betty' Sage, U.S. Post Office retiree

Elizabeth “Betty” C. Sage, 92, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at the Milford Center, Milford. Elizabeth was born in Bloomfield, N.J., April 5, 1923, the only daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Reynolds.

Betty, as she was known to family and friends, was a dental assistant for a number of years prior to working for the U.S. Postal Service, from which she retired. She was a parishioner of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Millsboro.

A loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, Betty’s impact on her family's lives will never diminish.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Stanley J. Sage. She is survived by her only child, her daughter, Gail A. Kelly and her husband John of Mt. Holly, N.J.; two grandchildren: Christopher Kelly and Alicia Givey; and five great-grandchildren: Summer, Makensy and Faith Kelly, and Seamus and Kelly Givey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m., at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Road, Millsboro. Interment will follow services at 1 p.m., at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

Friends may call Monday, Aug. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
