Coldwell Banker Resort Realty welcomes Agents and Staff of Southern Delaware Realty.

September 18, 2015

Coldwell Banker Resort Realty is excited to announce the addition of Southern Delaware Realty and its entire team of professional agents and dedicated staff to our Seaford branch.

Leading the transition over to Coldwell Banker Resort Realty is Debbie Brittingham. Brittingham helped form Laurel Realty, later to become Southern Delaware Realty, in 1991 and shortly thereafter became the Broker of Record for that office. Debbie has been licensed since 1986. She has excelled in every aspect the real estate industry offers, in particular residential sales and development. She played a key role in many of the wonderful developments in Laurel. Having graduated from Seaford High School and later attending classes at Delaware Technical and Community College, she is still a western Sussex resident, proudly calling Laurel home. When asked what prompted the change to Coldwell Banker Resort Realty, Brittingham said, “In our 24 years of operation as Laurel Realty / Southern Delaware Realty we had done extremely well, but we felt we had realized our potential and it was time to strive even higher. Aligning with Coldwell Banker Resort Realty was the perfect fit. I am so looking forward to being part of such a wonderful franchise and in particular, this team of professional agents.”

Making the move also are full time Realtors, Brian Shannon and Gareth Deitzel. Brian Shannon has been licensed since 1992. He is also proud to call western Sussex home, living in Seaford and having graduated from Seaford High School. Brian has had a great deal of experience in commercial leasing, listing and sales as well as residential land development. He has been associated with Laurel Redevelopment Corporation since 1999 as a full time property manager. The Laurel Redevelopment Corporation is a non-profit redevelopment organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life in the town of Laurel by obtaining, rehabilitating and revitalizing properties which will increase the economic development for the town.  Brian is passionate about participating annually in automotive scavenger hunt rallies to benefit charitable organizations in the United States and Canada. He travels each year to support Rally North America.  “Getting to see interesting and beautiful sights all over the country, raise money for a worthy cause and drive some of the best roads known to man in some really cool cars is a great experience,” Shannon says. Shannon is also proud of his affiliations with the Laurel Chamber of Commerce and the Nanticoke Rotary.

Gareth Deitzel was the newest member of the Southern Delaware Realty Group.  Deitzel was licensed in 2014. Laurel is where he calls home and where he loves to hike, kayak and mountain bike at Trap Pond State Park. Prior to his real estate career, Deitzel was pursuing an accounting degree. Having spent his life working with his grandfather and father in the building industry he realized accounting would not inspire the passion he felt for the construction process and working with everyday people planning their future. Real estate was the perfect career to blend the experience of all aspects of the building process with the accounting principles of investment evaluations, interest rate effects on purchasing power and buyer affordability. Blending these skill sets will ensure success in his Real Estate endeavors.

Bruce Plummer, Broker and Chief Operating Officer of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty, says “I have known and worked with Debbie Brittingham for over twenty five years. I was delighted to receive the opportunity to bring Debbie, Brian and Gareth into our Seaford office. The knowledge and experience they bring to Coldwell Banker Resort Realty will certainly prove to benefit our entire team and our clients for years to come.”

Debbie Brittingham, Brian Shannon and Gareth Deitzel are all members of the National Association of Realtors, the Delaware Association of Realtors and the Sussex County Association of Realtors. They have all settled in to their new offices and are ready to serve the needs of clients seeking real estate assistance. They may be reached at 22350 Sussex Highway, Seaford, Delaware or by calling 302-629-5575.
