Jefferson School hosts Oktoberfest

November 11, 2015

Georgetown’s Jefferson School held Oktoberfest at the Beach, a fundraiser featuring a silent auction, music, celebrity chefs, beer and plenty of colorful Halloween costumes, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center Oct. 30.

The event attracted 400 people, many in costume and officials say it raised $20,000 for the school. Oktoberfest included a chef showdown with area chefs and a silent auction that included sports memorabilia, trips and food and drink specials, among other items.

Among those in costume were (l-r) Colleen Eisenmann, Rachael Edelman, Romina Thomas, Amanda Irwin, Jenn Chowdhry amd Christine Falcone, who were not men but were Devo. While the ladies exercised their freedom of choice to have one more member than Devo, they still whipped it into shape, went forward and moved ahead.
