Dirty Dog Grooming Salon is new Pup Sponsor for Lewes dog park

November 20, 2015

Lewes Unleashed Association volunteers are working hard to get dogs in the park as soon as possible. Great leaps are occurring daily in land preparation. Their goal is to open the dog park in spring 2016. Of their $150,000 goal, $130,000 has been raised.

To support these efforts, Dirty Dog Grooming Salon of Rehoboth Beach has just announced a donation of $1,000 and was named a Pup Sponsor. This commitment comes at a critical time in fundraising and will help pay for the final costs of construction. Cari Bennett, Dirty Dog Grooming Salon owner, is proud to help support the construction of a park that will be surely used by her customers.

Tom McGlone, LUA fundraiser chair and treasurer, says, “The enthusiastic support of the Dirty Dog Grooming Salon helps us close the funding gap.” The donors'  support helps put the area’s dogs another walk closer to running free in a safe environment, and the area’s dog owners and other users of the enclosed site another walk closer to a new park. For more information about the Dirty Dog Grooming Salon, call 302-226-1364 or go to thedirtydoggroomingsalon.com.

Memorial Brick sales continue to fund a portion of the construction effort. Every sold brick helps make the park a reality and is a reminder of a loved one. The bricks will be permanently installed at the dog park. To buy a brick or make a donation, go to www.lewesunleashed.org.
