Downton Abbey tea party set at Rehoboth Museum March 6

The Rehoboth Beach Museum will host a final tea party for fans of the PBS series Downton Abbey from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 6. The cost is $15.

Costumed servers will again greet guests and lead discussions and quizzes about the latest developments in the popular television show. Traditional tea party food will be served. Those who have attended prior tea parties are encouraged to return, while newcomers are more than welcome.

Participants are again asked to bring their own tea cup and saucer as well as a handkerchief or other fancy textile in which to cry now that the show is ending forever. Participants will be encouraged to share stories about the textiles with other participants. Prizes will be awarded.

In the spirit of Downton Abbey’s sixth season which showcases the charity of the Crawley family, participants are also asked to bring one of the following items in support of the Immanuel Homeless Shelter: toilet paper, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, adult diapers or paper towels.
