Primary Care and Infectious Disease Physician Specialist Joins Bayhealth

Bayhealth is proud to welcome Dawn Roach, MD, to the Bayhealth Primary Care, Harrington practice. She joins Internal Medicine Physicians Andrew Nash, DO, and Svetlana Polischuk, MD; and Family Nurse Practitioner Michelle Devern, NP-C. Specialty-trained in both internal medicine and infectious disease, Dr. Roach is taking new primary care patients and appointments for infectious disease care.

 

The Bayhealth Primary Care, Harrington practice is part of Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians and advanced practice clinicians, their staff, and an administrative support team that operates medical offices throughout Delaware.

Prior to joining Bayhealth, Dr. Roach completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Previously she completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. She graduated magna cum laude with her medical degree from the American University of Antigua in St. John’s where she also served as a graduate teaching fellow.

 

In addition to providing primary care for adult patients, Dr. Roach has expertise in diagnosis and care for a range of infectious diseases. This includes treatment for STDs and HIV as well as PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis, a prevention medication.
