‘Divalicious’ one-woman show set Sept. 9 at Milton Theatre
Holly Faris will bring her one-woman show, "Divalicious," to the Milton Theatre at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9. With a show like no other, Faris has thrilled audiences from coast to coast with her assortment of celebrity impersonations and comedy.
From Joan Rivers to Tina Turner, Cher, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Liza Minelli, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Midler and many others, Faris offers audiences hilarious impersonations, clever song parodies, audience participation, a bit of nostalgia and crowd-pleasing warmth that sets her apart from the rest.
Faris always had a gift for impersonation. It all started with doing impressions of relatives and homeroom teachers that were characters in their own right. As Faris readily admits, "I used to get hit for it; now I get paid for it." Faris has come a long way since then, appearing in showrooms across the country, from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. She is now pursuing a career in stand-up comedy, utilizing it as a vehicle to showcase her amazing repertoire of impressions.
