Althea Gail Hammond Kirk, beloved sister
Althea Gail Hammond Kirk, 82, went home to Heaven Saturday, May 21, 2022. She was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, which was just more than her earthly body could handle.
Gail was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Cambridge, Md., to Althea and Herbert MacKenzie. She was the third of four children.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; her children, Daniel, David, Maxx, Wyatt, Lucy and Jacob; her stepson, Kolby; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews; her sister, Sharon; and her best friend, Susan. She was predeceased by her parents Althea and Herbert; her sister Alice; and her brother Lee.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cranston Funeral Home, Seaford, with a viewing at noon. Interment will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
