Anita ‘Louise’ Stone, DuPont Co. retiree

Anita “Louise” Stone, 79, of Willards, Md., formerly of Millsboro, passed away surrounded by her loving family Friday, Aug. 31 2018, at her home.  

Louise was born in Selbyville Jan. 19, 1939, daughter of the late Handy B. and Sadie J. (McCoy) West.  She was a graduate of John M. Clayton High School class of 1957.  

Louise worked at the DuPont Company in Seaford, with 34 years of service, retiring in 1997.  She loved to read, shop, and most of all eat out at local restaurants.

In addition to her parents and her siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky S. Stone in 2017; and a daughter, Kimberly Dayton. Louise is survived by her children, Terri Jensen and her husband Christopher of Lewes, Quintin Stone of Laurel, Kim Hall and her husband Mickey of Princess Anne, Md., and Dee Weitzel of Salisbury, Md.; her seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind three sisters-in-law, Netta Jane Lind of Willards, Andrea Burgess of Laurel, and Jennifer Myers and her husband Michael of Laurel; and several nieces and nephews.  

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Louise’s name to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
