Anna Mae Paprocki, active in community

March 22, 2023

Anna Mae Paprocki, 94, of Lewes, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born in Perry, Ky., daughter of the late William and Hazel (Francis) Hall.

Anna served on the Business and Professional Women of Maryland in Prince George’s County, Md. After retirement from Prince George’s County Fire Department, Anna and her late husband, Edmund Paprocki, moved to Lewes in 1993. Anna and Ed were known for their Super Bowl parties and luaus.

A proud socialite and active community member, Anna stayed busy and joined as many groups as possible to include the Out to Lunch Bunch of Lewes and various book clubs.

Her beautiful gardens evidenced her green thumb and joy for life and honest day’s work. Her family will remember her most for her skills in the kitchen and her love for dancing. Anna was always cooking, and her recipes were a staple at the holiday table.
