BenchMark Physical Therapy opens fifth location in Lewes

BenchMark Physical Therapy officially opened its fifth location at 24153 Zinfandel Lane near the Redner’s Fresh Market supermarket west of Lewes July 12. 

This clinic offers a wide variety of treatment options, including manual therapies, therapeutic exercise, neurological re-education, balance training, vestibular rehab, blood flow restriction, dry needling, neuromuscular electric simulation and more.

“The main kind of pathologies we see here are sports-related injuries, post-operative orthopaedic surgeries and really any other orthopaedic-related injuries,” said Clinical Director Jimmy Graziano. 

BenchMark is a large company associated with Upstream Rehabilitation, with more than 1,200 clinics in the United States. BenchMark opened its first Delaware location five years ago in Millsboro. After that, locations in Georgetown, Milford and Seaford opened their doors. 

“Delaware, we wanted to feel like a small pocket,” said Graziano. “We really want that family feel here.”

BenchMark Physical Therapy is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays. 

The immediate response has been positive and the clinic is growing faster than expected, Graziano said. The local community seems to recognize the BenchMark Physical Therapy name and high-quality services it provides, he said. 

“Our patient recorded outcomes, in the Delaware market, we are 29% higher against national averages,” said Graziano. “So we do feel that we stand out in those manners.”
