Bethany Adkins awarded September Angel of the Month
Visiting Angels has named Bethany Adkins of Milton its employee Angel of the Month for September.
The home care company provides services to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent and in their own homes for a better quality of life.
Adkins joined Visiting Angels' staff of caregivers at the start of the 2012 summer season with five years of experience caring for people suffering from Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, stroke, and other diseases requiring full hands-on personal care. She quickly became one of the agency's most dependable, hard working employees.
David Forman, president of Visiting Angels said, “Bethany is often one of the first to respond to emergency shifts, and frequently rearranges her personal schedule to accommodate the needs of our office and our care recipients. Bethany stays professional and enthusiastic about her work, and even manages to retain a wonderful attitude with our most challenging care recipients. She maintains great communication with our main office, clearly conveying the details of her clients’ needs and desires."
Adkins is one of nearly 80 Visiting Angel employees who assist with personal care, light housekeeping including laundry and linens, preparing meals, running errands, providing companionship in the home, transportation to appointments, and running errands for, or with their care recipients.
Visiting Angels rewards employees based on their customer care, and willingness to step in to meet the agency’s needs, even when on short notice.

On a personal note, my dad is recovering in Florida from triple bi-pass surgery this week, and it's my prayer that my mom is able to find somebody there with the compassion and abilities that Bethany has."
