Bryan James Lucente, had passion for golf
Bryan James Lucente, 32, of Hockessin, passed suddenly Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. Bryan was born Dec. 13, 1988, at Christiana Hospital in Newark to Dr. Edward and Mary Lucente. Bryan attended St. Mark’s High School and graduated, class of 2007. He graduated from The Golf Academy of America in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Bryan, from a toddler age, had a passion for golf. He loved being on the golf course, playing on the St. Mark’s High School golf team as well as providing lessons at White Clay Creek under the direction of the golf pro. Bryan had an infectious laugh and smile. He loved being with his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He was adored by his nephews!
He is survived by his parents, Dr. Edward and Mary Lucente; his sisters, Jackie Kirby (Kevin), Kristin Chamberlain (Matthew) and Aimee Lucente; his nephews Kolton, Kaiden and Keegan Kirby. His large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins will miss him dearly.
A walk-through viewing will be held from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 11, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro. Interment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Bryan Lucente to The Hockessin Montessori School, 1000 Old Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707.
