Led by cadets Mozella Matthews, James Albertella and Joel Torres, 36 Cape Henlopen High School JROTC cadets assisted the Rehoboth Applebee’s restaurant staff in providing complimentary special meals to local veterans and active-duty military members and their families in celebration of Veterans Day.
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 11, the cadets worked in shifts and helped by clearing tables, greeting and escorting patrons to seats, and providing cleanup assistance to the regular staff. It proved to be a long and busy day and evening for the cadets who provided essential help to the staff ensuring that the hundreds of patrons were served in an efficient, expeditious and courteous manner for the restaurant.
