Cape Water Taxi and Tours announces new happenings for 2016
2016 will bring a new look and feel for Cape Water Taxi and Tours. In its fifth season, it will introduce a new name: Cape Water Tours and Taxi. The name change is significant because it is shifting focus more toward tours, cruises and private charters.
A guest favorite is the Delaware State Park Tour. Guides from both Cape Henlopen and Delaware Seashore State Parks lead this two-hour tour of the history, wildlife and beautiful scenery along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal from Lewes to Rehoboth Bay, including Fort Miles, Thompson Island Nature Preserve and much more. This tour offers more knowledge about Delaware’s coastline than ever. Water Taxi service will remain available on a limited basis.

There will be two vessels to accommodate the needs of passengers. The Discovery will continue to provide safe, comfortable and smooth adventures out of Fisherman’s Wharf in Lewes, and The Seahorse is the newest addition. In 2016, the Seahorse will be used for many chartered cruises and some other cruises and tours. It is a Trident vessel, measuring 49 feet long and 16 feet wide and can accommodate 49 passengers. The Seahorse is powered by twin 115 horsepower Yamaha engines, and is totally enclosed and climate controlled, providing a comfortable ride in any weather. The ship is equipped with audiovisual equipment, LED television, sound system, a spacious restroom, table seating, capability for food and bar service, and LED lighting, so passengers can enjoy a smooth, comfortable ride every time. The company now has the capability to provide a venue for business meetings, weddings, social club meetings, Bible study groups, company celebrations, family reunions, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, or any occasion or reason.
