Carol Krebs, generous soul
Carol Krebs passed away as she wanted, peacefully in her sleep at home Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, in Riverdale. Carol bravely fought many health challenges, including cancer, diabetes, and other illnesses; however, she developed COVID and her fatigued human body let go. She was born July 18, 1952, in Baltimore, Md.
Carol married her biggest supporter and partner, Marty, in Baltimore, Md., in 1974. She was a devoted mother of two children. The best anyone could ask for, she was present, cheering her kids for every activity they were involved with.
She was a generous soul, caring deeply about other humans, animals, and Mother Earth. Carol always supported many causes and charities that she strongly believed in. She loved a good celebration to be with family and friends. She felt most comfortable, alive, and at home submerged in or near water. She may have been part crab, turtle, or fish! She was always drawn to swimming, sitting or meditating by, and living near or in any body of water.
Carol is survived by her husband, Martin Krebs; her mother and father, Marlene and Don Rollins; four of her brothers and sisters, Julie Rollins (late), David Rollins, John Rollins, Amy Rollins and Mike Rollins; two children, Jesse (Lena) Krebs and Tara (Seth) Newhouse; six grandchildren, Ayanna Wood, Jahmila Walleng-Krebs, Isaiah Walleng-Krebs, Kekoa Walleng-Krebs, Robert Newhouse and June Newhouse; and one great-grandchild, Leila Jane Wood. She was so proud and loved each one.
Carol lived life the way that she wanted. She lived and died without regret. As she always said, “Peace!”
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at 16420 Darnestown Road, Boyds, Md.
