Downtown Rehoboth Beach’s July Fourth Fireworks are presented by Rehoboth Beach Main Street and Zambelli Internationale. More than 80,000 people are expected to gather on the Boardwalk and shoreline in Rehoboth Beach for a marvelous fireworks display.
This year's celebration will occur Monday, July 4. From 8 to 9 p.m, the public can find entertainment at the Bandstand. At about 9:15, spectacular fireworks will erupt, visible from the beach and Boardwalk in Rehoboth and up and down the coast. Performances will continue at the Bandstand after the display.
Organizers ask the public to note that fireworks could go off as early as 8 p.m. if weather is threatening. The rain date is the following night, July 5. Call 302-227-2772 for weather updates.
To avoid lengthy traffic jams and parking problems, people can use the Easy in! Easy out! Shuttle Service from Route 1 at the field between County Bank and Jungle Jim's. Just look for the signs. Buses start at 5 p.m. and bring people into town until 8:45 p.m.; then the shuttle runs again after the fireworks until past 11 p.m. or until everyone is out of town. Parking is only $10 per car. For further information about times, transportation or parking, email info@downtownrehoboth.com.
The Jolly Trolley Shuttle will operate from 8 a.m. until around 2 a.m. The regular route will be altered between 6 and 11 p.m. while Rehoboth Avenue is closed. The Jolly Trolley will have a stop on Christian Street, uptown, behind Jack Lingo Realtor.
