Charles Dennis Hastings Jr., accomplished fisherman

Charles Dennis Hastings Jr. AKA Dennis, passed away peacefully with his three daughters and grandchildren by his side Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, in Milton at the age of 59.
Dennis is survived by his three daughters, Misty Hastings of Salisbury, Md., Jolene Gard of Dover and Melissa Synder of Milton; two grandchildren, William Bowden of Milton and Emily Bowden of Milton; his three sisters, Cheryl Bailey of  Seaford, Brenda Wheatley of Seaford and Bonnie Hastings of Binghamton. N.Y.

Dennis was born Nov. 12, 1959, in Seaford to parents Charles Dennis Hastings Sr. and Joanne Evans. After spending years working on the ocean, Dennis moved up to Binghamton later in life to pursue is new passion for carpentry. His daughters remember him as a survivor in the face of all odds, and taught them to always persevere.
Dennis was an extremely accomplished fisherman, with an expertise in ocean fishing off the Atlantic. He was one of a kind who's whit was ever present, just as his orneriness and his love for his family. He was loved by many from New York to Florida, and will be missed by all.
Dennis's family has arranged for a private service, as he wished, yet we appreciate and are eternally grateful for all the thoughts and blessings.
