Clear Space Theatre appoints interim executive director
Following the retirement of Wesley Paulson, the Clear Space Theatre board of directors has hired Paul L. Parsons to serve as interim executive director while a search for a permanent successor is conducted.
“The company is in good hands with Paul Parsons and the current staff that includes David Button as artistic director,” said Laura L. Mason, board chair. As a part-time resident of Rehoboth Beach since 2004 and a regular patron of Clear Space, Parsons recently relocated full time to the area after his retirement from a career in nonprofit executive management, most recently as deputy CEO and CFO for 24 years at the National Association of College and University Attorneys in Washington, D.C. He will serve in this capacity during the search process and until Paulson’s successor is on board.
Located at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, Clear Space Theatre is a nonprofit regional theatre serving residents and visitors to Southern Delaware since 2004. Clear Space performs 13 shows during its season, and has year-round performing arts opportunities for children and adults. Clear Space Theatre is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
