Coastal Point marks 20th anniversary with ribbon cutting
Representatives from the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce joined the Coastal Point Feb. 8 to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Readers, advertisers, dignitaries, former employees, community members and chamber members came together for the occasion.
Susan Lyons, publisher, and Darin McCann, executive editor, recognized staff who have been with them all 20 years and expressed appreciation to everyone who has supported them.
The afternoon was highlighted by General Assembly tributes presented by Sen. Gerald Hocker, R-Ocean View, from both the House and the Senate, outlining the publication’s integrity and considerable contribution to the community. Lyons’ children, Drew, Sarah, and Emily were on hand to present a tribute from the Governor’s office as well.
