Milford’s Bug & Bud Festival canceled

Downtown Milford Inc. and the City of Milford’s Park & Recreation Department have canceled the 17th Annual Bug & Bud Festival scheduled for Saturday, April 24. Due to the amount of planning, fundraising, volunteer time and uncertainty whether state of emergency restrictions might be lifted, the organizations decided this was the best course of action. Later this year, they will begin planning next year’s Bug & Bud Festival, scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Italian genealogy is March 20 meeting topic

The Sussex County Genealogical Society will virtually host Tesoro!  Beginning Italian Genealogy at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 20.  Presenting will be Suzanne Russo Adams, a member of the content strategy team at Family Search, the free genealogy website hosted by the Church of Latter-day Saints.  Adams was previously employed by Ancestry.com.  She  is author of “Finding Your Italian Ancestors: A Beginner’s Guide.” For an invitation to the meeting, email programs@scgsdelaware.org.

Multiple myeloma support group to meet March 20

The Delaware Multiple Myeloma Support Group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 20, via Zoom. For Myeloma Action Month, the guest speaker will be Dr. Dan Vogl, director of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Tanger Outlets to host spring photo sessions March 20-21

So families can hop into spring with fresh portraits, Tanger Outlets Rehoboth is hosting 15-minute professional custom photo sessions with Tara Elizabeth Photography. Appointments may be scheduled online from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21, at 36470 Seaside Outlet Drive, Suite 1630, Rehoboth Beach, next to OshKosh. Tara Elizabeth Photography will email sets of 4-5 digital photos to participants, with full printing rights. Photo setups will maintain appropriate social distancing protocols for optimal participant safety. Unitarian Universalists service set March 21
