As part of the Appalachia Service Project, a team of seven members and friends from Conley’s United Methodist Church traveled 500 miles to West Virginia to participate in a July 14-20 work camp. The team installed subflooring and new drywall ceiling in a residence in Logan, W.V.
Gathered for a photo during the ceiling repair process are in back (l-r) Doug Stout, Wesley Paulson, David Downes and Ron Starich. In front are Marie Robinson, Nancy Zimmerman, homeowner Letha Butcher and Marie van der Wall.
Conley’s UMC volunteers are halfway through the ceiling repair project.
With drywall repair complete, the space is ready for a fresh coat of paint.
