Darlene Hodgson Dolan, full of adventure
Darlene Hodgson Dolan, 77, of Bethany Beach, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014,, at Bebee Healthcare in Lewes. She was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Spokane, Wash., daughter of the late Jane and Lloyd Hodgson.
Darlene was the adoring wife of Robert Greene Dolan (deceased) for over 50 years. A true partnership, full of adventure, love and laughter. Together they conquered Washington, D.C. before retiring to their piece of paradise, Bethany Beach. Days were bursting with plans and clubs, from Monday Bridge, Wednesday Dinner, South East Democratic Club, and traveling with the Shillelaghs, to doting on their faithful canine companion Brigit, and enjoying their home away from home, The Cottage.
Darlene is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who she embraced as family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct.13, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. Friends and loved ones may call from 8 to 9:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13.
