Delmarva Christian hosts JV volleyball play day

September 1, 2022

Three Georgetown junior varsity volleyball teams met on the hardwood of Delmarva Christian for a last scrimmage tune-up for the 2022 season. The Royals hosted Sussex Central and Sussex Academy for a round robin format scrimmage.

“The Sussex Central JV volleyball team is starting their season out strong,” said coach Jessica White. “They consist of freshmen and sophomores that have been working hard in the preseason. They are ready to learn and grow as a team as the season goes on.”

”We are looking forward to a year of building our foundation, and the girls have a determined and focused energy that we are really excited about,” said Seahawks coach Hailee Gooch.

"We have a great mix of new players who are getting better every day and experienced players who are leading," said Royals head JV coach Kim Benjamin. “All of our players got a lot of playing time, and playing great opponents from Central and Sussex Academy gave us a list of things on which we can improve. We look forward to getting better at playing as a team, and growing in our relationships with each other and with God.”
