Diane Doris Weis, very personable
Diane Doris Weis of Lewes passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Nov. 23, 2016.
She was born in Orange, N.J., to the late Daniel and Doris De Finis, July 30, 1944. She married John R. Weis March 7, 1964, and raised a son. They were married 52 years until John's death in 2016. She was the owner and operator of JR's Barbeque in Tom's River, N.J. She moved to Delaware in 2002. She was very personable and made friends easily wherever she went. Her hobbies included kiln work, making jewelry from glass, and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Weis of Lewes; two grandchildren: Mark D. Weis and Robbyne Leigh Weis; along with a sister-in-law, Doris Weis of Indiana; and her caretaker: Nancy Robinson. In addition to her husband, and parents, Diane was preceded by her son, Robert and his wife Dawn Suzanne Weis; and two brothers: Dale and Doug De Finis.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 18, from 2 till 6 p.m., at the Clubhouse in the Meadows at the Village of Old Landing, Coatue Blvd., Rehoboth Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice; 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
