Douglas A. Manning, born salesman

Douglas A. Manning, 63, of Smyrna, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at Delaware Hospice Center.

Douglas was born in Chester, Pa., to the late Elmer L. and Norma J. (Wallace) Manning.  He was a born salesman who never met a stranger, and enjoyed projects that involved making things.  He loved good food and Wawa coffee.  His family was extremely important to him, as well as his love for the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Denver, Terry, and Eugene Manning.  

Doug is survived by his wife, Jayne Manning; daughters, Shawna McNamara and Heather Reed, and their mother Susan Manning; sister, Shirley Stewart; brother, David Manning; grandchildren, Haley, Bethany, Kirstyn, Karleigh, Peyton, Carter and Hadley; and has a great-grandson on the way. 

A service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at the home of Heather and C.J. Reed, 25258 Oak Hill Run, Milton.
