Downtown Julie Brown, beloved by all
On Sunday, May 15, 2016, the world lost a beautiful soul and heaven gained a new dancer. Downtown Julie Brown passed away after a courageous fight with breast cancer. For all who knew her their hearts are a little heavier, but their spirits lighter knowing she is finally at peace dancing with her family that preceded her in death: her grandparents, Ed and Marion Baker, and Joseph and Elsie Fitzgerald; her parents, William and Joan Fitzgerald; a brother, Edward Fitzgerald; as well as all of her beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie was beloved by all who knew her most, especially by her surviving family members, her significant other, Mike Stadtler; her three children, Tracie Duerr and her husband Chris, Lindsey Hines, and Kevin Hines and his wife Amanda.
She adored and meant the world to her two grandchildren, Logan and Cameron Duerr; her three siblings: John Fitzgerald, Shirley (Boo) Dietsch and William Fitzgerald; a nephew, Timothy Dietsch and his wife Anabel; a niece, Allyson Dietsch; and two aunts: Sandra Baker and Janis Horvath.
Julie will never be forgotten by all of her close friends and GTFOOFers who made her world a brighter place.
A Celebration of Life with a dance party to follow, will be held Saturday, June 25, from 5 to 9 p.m.,, at the Moose Lodge, 1890 Crownsville Road, Annapolis, Md., where food will be served.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie’s memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or Tunnell Cancer Center, c/o Beebe Medical Foundation, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
