Cape Region voters head to the polls

If early Election Day voting Nov. 8 is any indication, the long wait experienced by many during the 2020 election will not be the case in 2022.

Although most Sussex County polling places reported a steady stream of voters, there have been no reports of long lines. Polls are open until 8 p.m.

Several key races in the Lewes-Milton area will be decided, including Senate District 6 with Republican Steve Smyk and Democrat Russ Huxtable vying for the seat vacated by former Sen. Ernie Lopez, and in the 20th Representative District race, newcomers Republican Dallas Wingate and Democrat Stell Parker Selby are vying for the seat held by Smyk since 2012.
