She was preceded in death by her oldest son John Hopkins, but is survived by his wife Cathy of Florida. She also is survived by five grandchildren, including Elizabeth and Zachary Hopkins of New Mexico, Jamie Hopkins and wife Amy, Michael Hopkins and wife Linda, and Tiffany White of Florida; as well as six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She is also preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Krute; and brother William H. Brown III.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to one of these organizations in Lewes: The Harbour Lights CHEER Center, Meals on Wheels or the Beebe CAREs Program.

A viewing will be held at Mitchell Wiedefeld Funeral Home in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday, June 22 from 2 to 5 p.m.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday June 25, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
