Candy Kitchen on Rehoboth Avenue has begun exterior renovations to its storefront.
According to a construction notice issued Jan. 8 on Rehoboth’s website, construction began Jan. 8 at the 102 Rehoboth Ave. store and is anticipated to be complete by mid-April. A sign on the candy store says it is closed and directs potential customers to the Boardwalk location. A sign on the door of Candy Kitchen neighbor Cafe a Go-Go says the cafe will be closed until Friday, March 1, because of the renovation.
There is a partial sidewalk closure during this construction project. Pedestrian traffic detours may also be required at certain times.
Generally, the notice said, the contractor is permitted to work weekdays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nighttime work is not expected, and would require pre-approval, the notice states.
