Faith and Blue barbecue set Oct. 8

As part of the National Faith and Blue Weekend, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department and St. Edmond Church will sponsor a free family barbecue from 12 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, hosted by the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company at Station 1, 219 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
There will be free barbecued chicken platters, hot dogs, potato salad and lots of giveaways. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, but the rainy forecast forced a date change.
