Georgetown resident named chair of senior living national nonprofit
Acts Retirement-Life Communities, one of the nation's largest not-for-profit senior living organizations, announced Susan B. Allmond of Georgetown has been appointed to chair its board of directors.
A dedicated member of the Acts board since 2015, Allmond brings nearly 40 years of professional experience in healthcare to her board service. It includes prior roles as a nurse specializing in orthopedics and rehabilitation, and as a leader in healthcare operations and strategic performance.
Most recently, Allmond served as director of strategic planning and alignment at Catholic Health Initiatives in Exton, Pa., before retiring. Her visionary leadership will be instrumental in guiding Acts to further advance its mission of providing preeminent senior living with excellence and compassion.
