Gala raises funds for Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club

The Great Future Gala was held Feb. 6 at The Peninsula clubhouse in Long Neck. The event was a fundraiser for the expansion of the Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club.
The two-phase project will help to increase the number of children the club serves by allowing for age-appropriate groupings for special programs and homework, and to create more classroom space.
The second phase is a proposed community collaboration on a multipurpose building, sports field and a playground, and a proposed full-site gym construction with multipurpose classrooms.
This plan will allow addition of teen programs.
