Editor’s note: Green for Joan benefit set March 15 at Arena’s in Rehoboth will be rescheduled. For more rescheduled events, go to www.capegazette.com/article/events-canceled-rescheduled-coronavirus-conc....

Friends have teamed up with Arena’s in downtown Rehoboth for Joan Tylecki, a Cape grad and local small business owner and single mother of two, who is struggling with a Hodgkins’ lymphoma diagnosis.

On Sunday, March 15 from 4 to 8 p.m., Arena’s will donate a portion of sales and tips, and a 50/50 raffle and other raffle prizes will be part of the fundraiser. Tim Kelly and Pete Wiedmann will host local musicians Jeff Evans, Moovin’ & Groovin, Lawrence McDonald & Jimmy Keane, Hot Sauce Band, and Rick Arzt at Arena’s Rehoboth Beach, 149 Rehoboth Ave.

Friends have also organized volunteers who help with meals, chores and driving. “Joan has been overwhelmed with planning treatment, but thanks everyone for this big show of love. It brings her to joyous tears. It’s truly amazing. You’ve all helped tremendously to relieve a lot of stress,” said friend Rachel Haas.

To donate raffle items or for information contact Kim at 227-1272. A Go Fund Me is set up to continually assist with expenses; go to: www.gofundme.com/f/joan039s-total-recovery.
