Gregory L. Johnson, Army veteran
Gregory L. Johnson, 68, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully at home Monday, May 6, 2024.
He was born July 19, 1955, in Farmville, Va., to Charles Lindburg Johnson and Betty Louise Christopher.
Greg proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked in construction and was self-employed. He enjoyed country music, NASCAR, and fishing in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Figgs. He will be remembered by his wife, Diane, they would have celebrated 21 years together this year; three children, Richard Bailey, John Johnson and Dennis Johnson; two stepdaughters, Tracy Singh and Debbie Apperson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, kidney.org.
A memorial service with military honors will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
