The Rev. Dr. Willard Crossan, Groome’s pastor, said, “When the opportunity arose for Groome to present acclaimed pianist Nina Siniakova to the Lewes-Rehoboth area, we couldn’t think of a better organization to benefit, so close to Valentine’s Day, than Humane Animal Partners of Rehoboth. Almost everyone has or had a beloved pet – a dog, a cat, some other animal – or in the case of one of our congregants, a much-loved, 40-year-old box turtle named Harriet. We love our pets and happily, luckily, they love us back unconditionally. For many, animals played a large and significant role as companions and givers of comfort in helping us get through the pandemic. Our Feb. 12 concert is a musical Valentine to not just our pets, past and present, but to all of God’s creatures, great and small.”
Groome Church is at 601 Savannah Road, Lewes. For more information, go to groomechurchlewes.org.
