Groome Church to present concert honoring MERR Sept. 10

Groome Church's Performing Arts Series will present a concert in celebration of the work done by the Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, in Canalfront Park at 211 Front St., Lewes.

The program will feature a bit of classic Broadway, a measure of memorable opera, and a dash of on-your-feet patriotic Americana performed by Metropolitan Opera soprano Danielle Talamantes, bass-baritone Kerry Wilkerson and composer/pianist Henry Dehlinger.

Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets and lawn chairs.
