The Episcopal Parish of All Saints' Church & St George's Chapel announced its schedule of services leading up to Easter.
Services for Palm Sunday, March 24, will be held at 8 and 10 a.m., at All Saints’ and at 9:30 a.m., at St. George's Chapel. Distribution of blessed palms will take place at all services.
A Maundy Thursday service is set for 6 p.m., March 28, at All Saints'. The casual service will include holy Eucharist, as well as the washing of feet which reenacts Jesus' act of love and service for his disciples. It also will include the transfer of the Eucharist to the altar of repose and the stripping of the altar in preparation for the Good Friday services.
There will be a service at 12 p.m., Good Friday, March 28, at All Saints' that includes special scripture readings and meditations, veneration of the cross, and holy Eucharist with special guest musicians and the adult choir singing. At 6 p.m., March 28, at St. George’s there will be a casual service of stations of the cross with special prayers and music.
St. George's will be the site of the great Easter vigil at 6 p.m., Holy Saturday, March 30, with special scripture readings and music.
Easter Sunday services will be held at 8 and 10 a.m., at All Saints’ and at 9:30 a.m., at St. George's Chapel. Featured musicians will be the adult parish choir and a brass quartet that will perform at both church and chapel. Both locations are handicapped accessible, and there is ample parking available on the street and in the parking lots. There is no charge to attend any of these services, and freewill offerings will be taken. Everyone is welcome to attend.
All Saints' Church is at 18 Olive Ave. in downtown Rehoboth Beach. St. George's Chapel is at 20271 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson.
