Home of the Brave breaks ground on new community center

The Home of the Brave Foundation, in partnership with Nally Ventures and Horizon Construction Services, recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction kickoff for its new community center in Milford. This facility will provide support to transitioning military veterans.

This new one-story community center will include an office, multipurpose space, bathrooms, storage room, and an outdoor covered activity space to provide programs and services for military veterans. Nally Ventures and Horizon Construction Services are partnering to facilitate fundraising and provide construction management services for this project.

The Home of the Brave mission is to reduce homelessness among the U.S. military veteran population. In addition to providing transitional housing, food and security, Home of the Brave assists with employment, counseling services, and access to healthcare, transportation and locating affordable housing. Its goal is to help veterans successfully transition into permanent housing and personal independence.
