HomeGoods opened its doors for business May 22. HomeGoods features ever-changing, one-of-a-kind merchandise, greatly discounted from department store prices.
The same company that operates Marshall’s and T.J.Maxx owns HomeGoods. Items offered include furniture, rugs, kitchen, dining and bed and bath. HomeGoods is located in the Henlopen Plaza on Route One behind Citizens Bank off Dartmouth Drive near the south entrance to Lewes.
Shown just prior to the 8 a.m. opening, a line of eager shoppers wraps around the end of the building. State troopers were called in to direct traffic that morning when gridlock occurred.
