IMC-Lewes to host daylong meditation retreat June 11

June 1, 2022

Insight Meditation Community of Lewes will welcome meditation teacher Larissa Kitenko for a daylong online retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 11, via Zoom. The dharma talk topic will be Not Getting What We Want.

Originally planned as a hybrid event, the retreat will be held virtually only.

This day of practice will include direction in mindfulness of the breath, body, emotions and thoughts. Through the practice of mindfulness meditation, it is possible to relate to life’s challenges in such a way that they do not define a person and fill one’s life with stress and anguish. A new relationship with challenges will unfold that will bring increased meaning, joy and freedom no matter how stressful life may be.

Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditation students, this silent meditation retreat includes guided meditation periods, silent sitting and walking meditation, a dharma talk in the afternoon, and question-and-answer sessions.

The suggested donation for the retreat is $30. For those with limited income, 50%, or any amount of the suggested donation offered is welcome. If budget does not allow for a donation, simply log in; no explanation is needed.

For the Zoom meeting link and PayPal donation information, contact Carolyn Quinn at 302-644-7650 or cquinn@quinnassoc.com.
